This type of flooring is a solid wood floor, meaning the planks consist entirely of a single piece of oak wood. This ensures unparalleled strength and lifelong durability. Although traditional herringbone parquet is solid, engineered wood flooring (also known as engineered parquet, multi-layer parquet, or semi-solid parquet) is also available today. These are wooden floors where various layers of wood are glued crosswise to each other with an oak top layer and a birch plywood base layer to minimize the movement of the wood.
